Mrs Cynthia H Mills widow of Moses was buried last saturday at Shiloh Cemetery with J M Daniel pastor of the baptist church conducting the funeral.

Cynthia H Mills was born in Perry County Apr 3 1833 she was a member of the great Hicks family which was one of the pioneer families of southern Indiana.
James H Hicks and his wife Susannah came to this state from North Carolina, he lived a long life and Susannah died at 92 years they numbered 80 grandchildren and their great grandchildren numbered 170.

Cynthia was born in a family of 13 with 7 boys and 6 girls,
Three of her brothers and a nephew were ministers.
Lawry and Ephraim still survive their sister.

May 28 1863 Cynthia Hicks and Moses Mills were married to them were born two boys and five girls.
Four daughters Susie,Mary,Josie and Bell along with son J H Mills were present at the burial of their mother.

Moses and Cynthia Mills were members of the Deer Creek Baptist church all their children are members of baptist church
