Flora Elizabeth Andrews, 74, of Chapin died Monday evening, Aug. 1, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born Sept. 21, 1930, in Scott County, the daughter of Albert Eugene and Pauline J. Blair Hester. She married Robert Gene Andrews Dec. 24, 1955 in Winchester and he preceded her in death April 22, 1986.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Allan Andrews of Chapin and Eric Paul (wife, Valerie) Andrews of Beardstown; one daughter, Carla (husband, Doug) Spicer of Lisle, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Jeana Andrews, Brianna Spicer, Justin Andrews, Corey Andrews and Collin Andrews; two brothers, John Hester and Gerald (wife, Wanda) Hester, both of Winchester; and two sisters, Harriet Coats of Lynnville and Janet Savage of Alabama. She was preceded by one brother, Bill (surviving wife, Marian of Chicago) Hester.
Mrs. Andrews had been employed at Barton W. Stone Christian Home as a licensed practical nurse for many years. She was a member of the Chapin Christian Church. She enjoyed country music and quilting. Her greatest love was her family.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4 at Chapin Christian Church with burial at Glasgow Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Chapin Christian Church or the Barton W. Stone Home. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.airsman-hires.com.
