Minnie was the best cat in the world. She was SO funny. We adopted her from a family friend back in 1990 and named her Minnie because she had a black Mickey Mouse shape on her side. She was very friendly with most everyone. She loved to hop up in your lap and talk to you . She loved to play in boxes and bags too, anywhere she could stuff her little fat body would do. I can't tell you how many times she got stuck in drink boxes and I'd have to pry her out. She loved to sleep in the bed with you, right along side her sister Abby. And if you by chance were outside, she would sit by the front door and put her feet out underneath the door and reach for your hand. She also loved to talk to the birds. That was the funniest thing about her, as she was the 1st cat I've known to do that (the 2nd cat being my cat I have have now, Tulip). I was heartbroken having to leave her in SC when I moved to GA in April of 1999. I left her with my Dad, as that is the house she grew up in and I didn't think it would be right to drag her around. Plus, Abby was there to keep her company and to snuggle with her. Minnie died of old age, my Dad found she had passed away when he came home from work one morning. He buried her in the "pet" garden as he called it, along with the other pets we've had that have crossed over to Rainbow Bridge. Rest in peace Moose (that was 1 of her nicknames), I'll see you again 1 day. In the meantime, keep Papa Mike company for me and look after Abby, since after all, she was your playmate for 14 years.

When tomorrow starts without me, Don't think
we're far apart ... For every time you think
of me, I'm right here,in your heart.

Weep not for me though I am gone into that gentle night.
Grieve if you will, but not for long upon my soul's sweet flight.
I am at peace, my soul's at rest
There is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed.
For all those many years.
There is no pain, I suffer not,
The fear now all is gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts,
In your memory I live on.
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife.
Please do not dwell upon my death,
But celebrate my life.

I'M REALLY GOING TO MISS YOU

My little girl,
My little friend,
I'm really going to miss you.
It's going to be difficult without you.

For the rest of my life, am I going
to be thinking about you?
Oh, yes, I am,
But the time came when you had to go.

I'll miss you, my baby,
I'll miss you, my friend.
I promise my love for you will never end.

In your finest days, I was with you,
Now without you, things won't be the same.
But, there is a higher power that we answer to,
And you heard Him call your name.

I'm really going to miss you -
Miss everything about you,
Your cuddles and kisses.

I know you fought so hard to be strong,
I'm really going to miss you,
But I know you have gone to a higher place.

I'm really going to miss you,
Quietly sneaking your presents from
under the Christmas tree.
Jumping and bouncing on the bed,
Playing peak-a-boo,
as I tried to change the sheets.

I'm really going to miss you,
But, I know you've gone to a higher place.
Where you can breath freely and run
without tiring.

So chase that squirrel and look up all your family and friends.
'Cause my mind can be at peace now.
For you're in the presence of everything good.
Oh, the emptiness and pain.

I guess like they said,
we were the Siamese twins.
For when you were taken, along with you,
Went most of my Heart.
