Theo Berkey, 83, of Miami, Florida, died May 27, 1973, in Miami, ending a marriage union of 61 years with the former Sara Bowser. Mr. Berkey was born March 20, 1890 in Bolivar, and was the son of the late Morgan and Elizabeth Hammond Berkey. He was a member of the Bolivar United Methodist Church. In addition to his widow he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Zimmerman of Miami, Florida; and Mrs. Garnett Washburn, of Seattle, Washington. Also surviving are five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. A son, Robert and a daughter Mrs. Sara Ellen Williams preceded him in death. Burial was May 30 in Miami.
