July 29, 1895

On Saturday morning, at 5 o'clock occurred the death of Clyde Malone at the residence of his father, S.G. Malone at Dana, of typhoid fever. Rev. Sonne, Rev. Wright, and Rev. Kendall conducted the funeral service at the Presbyterian Church in Dana, at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon and interment was made at Helt's Prairie Cemetery. Few funerals in the history of Dana have been so largely attended. Clyde was a model of kindness and generosity, and it was his tender Christian spirit that went so deeply into the hearts of all who knew him immediately, and although he is gone, his memory will continue to live on and work good in the hearts of those who knew him.
