Services for William Henry Dorton,86,Oak Hill,will be held at 2pm Friday in the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ernest Barley in charge. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park,Oak Hill.

Dorton died on Tuesday in an Oak Hill Hospital following a long illness. He was a retired coal miner and employe of Red Star Coal Company.

He was born in Ryecove VA., Sept 6,1879 a son of the late Daniel Dorton and Syrenya Stanley.
Survivors include five sons,Doug of Silver Spring MD.,Charles and Jack of Lakewood ,Oh.,James of Oak Hill, and Clyde of Grafton;two daughters Mrs. C.C McClung of Whipple and Mrs. Frank Wise of Marlinton;one sister Mrs. Hanna Stone of Clench Port VA.;27 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The Body will be remain at the funeral home where friends may call after 5pm Thursday. [Fayette Tribune, April 20, 1966]
