Killed in crash of B-36B-10-CF 'Peacemaker' #44-92050 upon takeoff at Fairchild Air Force Base, near Spokane, Washington.
The huge bomber crashed into a field just after liftoff at about 3:45 a.m.
Wing flaps not properly set were blamed for causing the crash.
