DANIEL LEAHY (Thomas) was born in Sheboygan Co., Wisconsin November 1849; died there at the family farm at Sheboygan, 1927 [1900 U.S. Census, Mosel, sh. 8, line 26, microfilm].
Daniel married at Holy Name Catholic Church, Sheboygan, Sheboygan Co., Wisconsin, circa 1882 Julia HURLEY. Julia was born in Wisconsin June 1861 to parents from Ireland; died at the family farm at Mosel, Sheboygan Co., Wisconsin 27 October 1961 [1900 U.S. Census, microfilm].
Prior to marriage, Daniel resided with his mother and brother Dennis at Mosel [1880 US Census, p. 13, line 39].
Daniel and Julia resided at Mosel, Sheboygan Co., Wisconsin, from 1880 until after 1927 [1900, 1910, and 1920 U.S. Censuses], where he worked the family farm.
The 1893 Mosel Township plat map for Sheboygan Co,. Wisconsin, shows Daniel LEAHY's 70-acre farm in the very southeast corner of Section 31, kitty-corner to that of his Aunt, Ellen DOYLE. Section 31 is the southwest corner of Mosel Township.
In 1900 and 1910, four of their eight children were living and lived with Daniel and Julia: Arthur, Frank, Julius, and Sylvester. These four sons all registered for the WWI draft in Sheboygan Co., Wisconsin 1917-1918.
The 1916 and 1920 Mosel Township plat maps show Daniel LEAHY living on the same farm, 65 acres, Section 31 [Jerry Donohue Engineering Co., Atlas of Sheboygan County, Wisconsin (1916), p. 21; (1920), p. 11].
Julia was enumerated with her son Sylvester and family at Mosel in 1930.
