KENTLAND - John R. Boatman, 66, of Kentland, died at 6:04 PM Sunday, May 5, 1996, in Iroquois Hospital in Watseka, IL. Born July 1, 1929, he was a native of Watseka. He married Norma Mae German on Nov. 12, 1966, in Sheldon; she died June 16.
Mr. Boatman was a retired truck driver. He served in the Navy during World War II.
Surviving are two sons, John S. Boatman of Kentland and Robert Boatman of Bloomington, IL; five daughter, Debbie Christenson of Lexington, IL, Karin Redd of Grove, OK, Jackee (Mrs. Tiny) Licht of Sheldon, IL, Billie (Mrs. George) Blair of Herndon, VA, and Toni (Mrs. Bud) Bulington of Kentland; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
