Third son of William and Mary(Kelley) Barton. In October 1919, he moved to Washington,D.C., boarded with his sister Alma, and was in business at the Arcade Market. Sometime during mid-January, 1920, he contracted the flu and became ill. His mother went to be with him three days before he died of pneumonia in the influenza epidemic. William never married. His remains arrived back home on the 2:04 train Jan 28, his funeral was said on Jan 29 at his home church in Wesley Chapel and he was buried.
