Elizabeth Maxine Pharr Tillery was born November 27, 1934, at Cincinnati, Arkansas, to Robert E. Pharr and Clara Louisa “Polly” Pool. She grew up in the Cincinnati area and graduated high school in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was married to James N. “Jiggs” Tillery. After living a short while in Liberty, Missouri, they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She worked with Mary Kay Cosmetics and became a Unit Director. Alzheimer’s claimed her early, and she had been at Quail Ridge Living Center for some time before her death on May 24, 2015.
Her husband preceded her in death. She was also preceded by two sisters; Evelyn Parrott and Villa May Hardage. She is survived by two sons; Kent Tillery of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kevin Tillery of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and one daughter Lanae Jow of Placentia, California. She is also survived by one brother, Dale Pharr and wife, Joan.
