Musician. Raymond Berry Oakley, bass player and founding member of the Allman Brothers Band with Gregg Allman, Claude Hudson "Butch" Trucks, Jr., Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johannson, Richard "Dickey" Betts and the late Duane Allman. He died as a result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. (bio by: Jim Adams) 

Cause of death: Killed in a motorcycle accident a block from where Duane Allman was killed
