DEATH OF MRS. H.P. MORRIS
DIED FROM CONSUMPTION LAST EVENING AFTER A LONG ILLNESS
Mrs. Maggie Morris, wife of H.P. Morris, died last evening at 5 o'clock at the home of her father, G.W. Weider, 347 West Seventh street, after an illness of a year's duration from consumption. The end had been expected for some time, and death came last evening as a relief to the patient sufferer.
Mrs. Morris was born in Jefferson county, Kansas, June 25, 1857, therefore being over 51 years of age. She was married to H.P. Morris in 1873, and they came to Eugene in 1880, residing here ever since. Four children, all of whom are now living, were born to them as follows: Mrs. Minnie Furman, of Henderson Station; Mrs. Flora Ham, of Seattle; Gardner Morris and Harry Morris of Eugene.
The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock with interment in the Mulkey cemetery. Rev. R.T. Cross, pastor of the First Congregational church will conduct the ceremonies.
