Anthony G. Balmos, Sr 73, of Willingboro, NJ died March 21, 2002 at Rancocas Hospital, Willingboro, NJ.
Born on May 3, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA to George and Anna Balmos. To his family and friends he was known as "Bud". He entered the US Army in 1947 and served 22 years until his retirement from active duty in 1970. While in the Army he did tours in Korea, Germany, and Vietnam. After the Army he settled in Willingboro, NJ and worked for the NJ Dept of Corrections as an Institutional Trade Insturctor for 18 years retiring in 1988. Before his illness he was an active member of VFW Post 4914 in Willingboro, NJ. His interests included reading, cooking and veteran's affairs.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years; Kim Soon Nam Balmos; three sons and three daughter-in-laws; Anthony and Magda Balmos, Joseph Balmos and Marie Chemin, Charles and Patty Balmos; three grandchildren; Anthony III, Mario and Haily Balmos; one brother and sister-in-law; Joseph and Eleanor Balmos; one brother-in-law and his wife Jim and Doo Kim; two nieces; Nicole and Lisa Kim, other relatives and dear firends.
Relatives and friends may call Mon 7-9pm and Tues after 10:30am at the Goes-Scolieri Funeral Home 212 Levitt Pkwy, Wilingboro, NJ. Interment: Brig Gen Wm C Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
