Sedley was born June 16, 1950 in Danville to Sedley R. and Savannah Louise Foster Montgomery.
Sedley was a graduate of Danville High School. He loved to read, garden, fish and watch the Sci-Fi and History channel. Sedley worked for the Railroad for many years.
Sedley leaves to cherish his loving memory: a daughter Savannah L. Montgomery, 3 stepchildren Angela Ferguson, Jon Isaac and Tasha Isaac; 5 grandchildren, 7 siblings: Roger L. Montgomery, Nadine Montgomery, Marilyn Montgomery, Katherine Johnson, James D. Montgomery, Rose Roberson, and John Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Sedley R. and Savannah L. Montgomery, a son Sedley N. Montgomery and 2 sisters: Chestoria Moffitt and Carolyn Hill.
A Celebration of life will be at 11:00am Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams, Danville. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service. Officiating: Bishop Barry Elliott.
