Rev. A. W. Ruff, formerly of Lexington, but recently become Pastor of the Presbyterian church on Back creek, Highland county, died there on the "22d" inst. after a brief illness. His remains were conveyed to Lexington for interment. Mr. Ruff left a wife and one child. The child was sick when he died, and Mrs. Ruff was detained among comparative strangers, watching the doubtful issue of its sickness, when tho body of her husband was borne away.
