A memorial service for William "Odis" Freeman, 83, of Lexington, will be held 6 o'clock, Friday, May 29, 2015, at Barr-Price Funeral Home Chapel, with The Rev. Francis A. Hipp officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Odis's name to The Ronald McDonald House.

Odis went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, May 24, 2015 after a short battle with cancer surrounded by his family. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a beloved son of the late Albert and Mary Etta Miller.

Odis was a veteran of the US Army and a retired pipefitter of Flor-Daniel. He was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball and Clemson football fan.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Lavern (Judy) Freeman, Robert Miller, Jerome (Betty Jean) Miller, Ruffie (Rose P.) Miller; sisters, Judy Riley, Janie Miles, Elsie (James) Key, Elise Lake, Dolly Strickland, Kathy (John) Gardner, and Shirley (Phillip) Metze; sister-in-laws, Rose M. Miller, and Dorothy McGrady; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Willodene Freeman; sons, Billy Hall, Sr., and Mark Freeman; daughter, Carolyn Cullen; grandson, Billy Hall, Jr.; brothers Frank Freeman, Jimmy Miller, Albert McGrady, and Cecil Miller.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Odis's niece Kimberly, caretaker Cindy Cheek, the staff of Christopher Towers, and to Compassionate Care Hospice for the care and concern given to our brother during his illness.
