Carl Ellwood Bunker passed away on May 18, 2015 in Salt Lake City.

He was born April 7, 1921 in Delta to Ezra Bunker and Mary Elsie Terry.

He served an LDS mission in the Southern States and served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was sealed to Ethel Mildred Graham in the Salt Lake Temple on February 11, 1944.

He worked as a sales manager over thirty years for Crown Zellerbach Paper Corp.

Ellwood loved helping everyone and was called to many positions of leadership in the LDS Church, including Bishop, Stake Presidency counselor, Patriarch, and Sealer in the Temple. He loved the temple and attended each month until the end of his life. Golf and fishing were his other passions.

Ellwood was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel (died May 19, 2001); his son, James Ellwood Bunker; grandson, Ryan Jensen Bunker; and great-grandson, Troy Michael Bunker. He so loved his family, which includes his sons, Bruce (Nedra), Jan (Shauna), and Brad (Laura); and daughter, LeAnne. He has twenty-three grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A special thanks to the William E. Christoffersen Salt Lake Veterans Home and Brighton Hospice for their professional and loving care of our father over the past few years.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mid Valley Mortuary, 4760 South State Street (100 East). Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., with a viewing one hour prior, on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in the Forest View Ward Chapel, 1111 East Charlton Avenue (2818 South).
Burial will be in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville.
