Mrs. Ida Norton Dies Saturday In Tuscumbia
Mrs. Ida Frances Norton, 86, a resident of Rt. 3, Town Creek, died Saturday at 5:45 p.m. at Kelley nursing Home in Tuscumbia after an illness of 10 months.
Mrs. Norton was born in Colbert County and was a member of the Baptist Church
Funeral services were held today at 1 p.m. at the Blackground Baptist Church in Lawrence County and Ernest Dillard officiating. Burial followed in Blackground Cemetery with Brown Service in charge.
Survivors include a son, Willie C. Norton of Courtland; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Burden of Town Creek; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Active bearers were Franklin Dawson, Leon Sockwell, Randy Norton, Thaniel Burden, Howard Johnson, Robert Burden and Hillard Johnson.
