Osro Lewis Cornia was born March 5, 1892, in Woodruff, Utah. He is the son of Orson and Elizabeth Lewis Cornia. He lived up the creek in the summer and in town in the winters when he was a young boy. In the fall and spring, he would ride a horse to town to school with his brother Carter. Osro was one of the first students to go to school in the two story brick school in 1897 at the age of five years old. He attended this school until he graduated from the eighth grade.

In 1912, he met Fuchsia Holbrook when she came to Woodruff to teach school. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on January 7, 1915. Osro and Fuchsia had nine children, six boys and three girls. The boys are: Cal, Dale, Don, Gene, Jerry and Ross. The girls are Louise, Bessie and Grace.

Osro lived in Woodruff his entire life. He served on the town board for sixteen years and was Mayor for three years. He was a member of the Utah Wool Growers Association for 22 years. He was active in the Irrigation Company and the Stock Association.

Orso passed away on July 30, 1971 in Woodruff, Utah.
