April 17, 1914 - Humboldt Republican - Ada M. Burkholder was born in Roxsburg, Penn., on April 8, 1880, and died April 6, 1914.
She was married to Walter C. Sanford Feb. 6, 1901. To this union were born one daughter and two sons. Besides these she leaves her mother, two sisters and one brother and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss in her departure.
She was a kind mother and affectionate wife. To know her was to love her. She was held in the highest regard by all who knew her. She was a faithful member of the ladies aid society of the Rutland M.E. church.
Funeral services were held from the Rutland M.E. Church. Rev. A.A. Pittinger, of Royal, officiating assisted by Rev. Draper. The remains were laid to rest in the Union cemetery of Humboldt to await the resurrection morn.
