Twillia June Hankins was born to Frank and Clare Hodges on Sept. 10, 1932, at Protem, Mo. She was married to Ross Hankins Jr. on Jan. 24, 1953, and to this union was born one son, Donald Ross Hankins. Twillia passed from this life on Dec. 27, 2003, after a valiant fight against cancer. Twillia was preceded in death by her parents and her six brothers and sisters, Hazel Rozell, Mary Dotson, Willie Jenkins, Tom Hodges, Joe Hodges and Lyle Hodges. She is survived by her husband, Ross; her son and his wife, Don and Karen Hankins of Willard; grandchildren and spouses, Jason and Pam Hankins of Springfield, and Laura and Grayson Gaddy of Freistatt; great-granddaughter Anna Grady; along with many nieces and nephews. Twillia graduated from Forsyth High School and attended Southwest Missouri State Teachers College. She taught for one year at White Star, and later trained to be a surgical technician. She took great pride in her thirty-two years in the surgical department at Cox Medical Center, where she earned the respect and friendship of everyone with whom she worked. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, in Kissee Mortuary and Cha- pel, Forsyth. Services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, in the funeral home with burial in Wyman Cemetery, Rueter, Mo.
