Married Charlotte Hardy Feb. 26, 1824 in Ross Co., Ohio. One daughter.

Married Amelia W. Kirkpatrick June 26, 1828 in Sangamon Co., Illinois. Ten children.

Married Julia A. Rockwell Nov. 27, 1864 in Knox Co., Illinois. One son.

Stephen Fleharty was born in Maryland in 1799, and died in Galesburg, Illinois, April 10, 1882, aged 83 years. Mr. Fleharty settled in Suez township, Mercer County, Illinois in 1835, lived there for 25 years, when he removed to Galesburg where he has since resided. The deceased had been for many years a member of the M.E. Church. The body was brought to New Windsor Wednesday evening, April 11, and interred on the Young C. Mann place, on Thursday. It was accompanied by his sons Stephen Fleharty, private secretary to Gov. Vance of Nebraska and John Q., Methodist minister at Galesburg. W.D. and W.S. Fleharty, and Mrs. Bridger and McLoughlin, of this place, are nephews and nieces of the deceased.
