Daniel Chamberlain, was born in the state of New York April 12, 1832, and died May 19, 1913, being aged 81 years, 1 month and 7 days.
He moved from his birth place with his parents when a child to the state of Indiana. He was united in marriage to Sinnia Robinson in the year of 1858. To this union were born five daughters and five sons, four of them having preceeded him to the eternal shore. His wife departed this life November 9, 1904.
There are four sons and two daughters left to mourn his loss as follows: Mrs. Malissie Zimmerman, of LaCrosse, IN, Mrs. Lola Ford of Lafayette, IN, Joseph W. of Brookston, IN, Aaron F. of Battle Ground, IN, George W. of Chalmers, IN, and Charles E. of Francisville, IN; besides many friends and acquaintences of this vicinity.
He and his wife were received into membership in the Pine Grove Baptist church about twenty five years ago in which faith he continued until death.
Services were conducted from the home of his son, George W. Chamberlain, in Chalmers, Wednesday May 21 at 1:30 p.m., Rev. R. W. Thorne officiating.
Burial was in Dellinger (West Point) cemetery near Wolcott, IN.
