HANOVER - Margaret E. Brown, 81, of 220 Fuhrman Mill Road, Hanover, died 10:40 a.m. Thursday morning, July 1, 1993, at her home. She had been in ill health two years.

Born in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Bishop Plank. She was the wife of the late Ervin Laughman and Willis Brown.

She was a member of St. David's United Church of Christ in Hanover and a retired employee of the Hanover Wire Cloth.

Surviving are two daughters, Treva Noel an Lois Gladfelter, both of Hanover; five sons, Monroe Laughman of Spring Grove, John Laughman of Hanover, Richard Laughman of Lineboro, Md.; Alton Laughman of Lancaster and Dennis Laughman of Spring Grove; two step daughters, Mary Utz and Nadine Good, both of Hanover; one stepson, Earl Brown of Hanover; 108 grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Plank, John Plank and Philip Plank, all of Gettysburg, and five sisters, Grace Bair of Kingsdale, Naomi Cheeks of Butler, Pa., Ruth Peters of Jacksonville, Fla., Eva May Hogan of Kentucky and Carrie Plank of New Mexico.
