Velma Ruth Blevins, 86, died Saturday, August 11, 2007, at Hanover Hospital.
She was born April 16, 1921 in Fawn Grove, the daughter of the late Bron G. and Ethel R. (Torbert) Blevins.
Velma was a member of Faith Baptist Church, East Berlin.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary E. Bortner of Thomasville and Betty Jane Blevins Ensor Rockey Smith of York Springs; three brothers, C. Raymond Blevins of Thomasville, Dale A. Blevins of East Berlin and Merle E. Blevins of Shippensburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Odessa M. Lighty and Edna R. Blevins; and one brother, Paul Blevins.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc., 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin, with Pastor Eric Johnson officiating.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held Thursday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
