A memorial service, with military honors, for Eugene C. Drafts, 75, of Cordova will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
In addition, a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015, in the Chapel of Dukes-Harley Funeral Home, Orangeburg, SC. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Eugene’s memory to the Orangeburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church, P.O. Box 643, Orangeburg, SC 29116.
Mr. Drafts, affectionately known as Gene, passed away April 25, 2015. Born in Lexington, he was the son of the late Cecil Eugene and Ella Mae Corley Drafts. He was a proud veteran of the United Stated Air Force, having served during the Berlin Crisis. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Retha Clamp; a daughter, Debra D. Pfaff (Steven); a son, Jason Drafts (Elizabeth); a brother, Ben Drafts; and sisters, Patty Love, Ruth Frick, and Barbara Long. Mr. Drafts was pre-deceased by a son, Curtis Drafts, and brothers, Morris and Carroll Drafts.
