February 25-- Mrs. Opal Phillips, 94, of Glenwood died Monday night, February 24, 2014.
Mrs. Phillips was a lifelong resident of Wheeler County and proceeded in death by her parents, Hardy and Jessie Mae Sutton Anderson, and husband, G. Wyman Phillips. She was retired from Ailey Manufacturing Company and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Wheeler County.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy (Sandra) Phillips, Swainsboro, Larry (Betty) Phillips, Dublin; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Friday, February 28. Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
