Daniel Glenn Baker, 83, of Weatherford passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday, April 27, at Aledo United Methodist Church in Aledo. Minister Jacob Walsh will officiate. Interment: Annetta Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel. Mr. Baker was born Nov. 29, 1931, in Crossett, Ark. He was a proud business owner, a Mason and a member of Community Christian Church in Aledo. For recreation he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Mae Baker; father, Clarence Elmer Baker; mother, Lillie Bell Baker; and his sisters, Margaret Jobe and Evonne Sharpe. Survivors: His daughters, Joy Stern and husband, Carl, of North Carolina, Rhonda Thompson and husband, Jim, of Bluefield, W.Va., Glenda Rickman and husband, Fred, of Blum; son, Brad Baker and his fiancee, Jayna McQueen, of Weatherford; and his sister, Dorothy Outlaw who remained in his hometown of Crossett, Ark. Mr. Baker is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
