He was a millwright for 37 years with Jones & Laughlin Steel in Hazelwood, PA.

Ernest and Anna celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary before his death in 2004. She followed him into Eternal Life 4 years later. They are buried together at Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery in McMurray, PA.
