Prof. T. Dwight Nutting.

Son of Prof. Rufus Nutting.
Graduated Western Reserve College in Ohio, where his father taught. Prof. T. D. Nutting taught music in Michigan; New Albany; Jackson, Miss.; and Jacksonville, IL. He came to Jacksonville around 1864. Taught music at the State Institution for the Blind, at the Illinois Female College, and the Illinois Conservatory of Music.

Married Mary J. Foote on August 17, 1852 in Milford, Michigan.
They had ten children. Six children preceded him in death.

Survived by his wife and four children: Mrs. Hattie F. Burnham of Kansas City; Henry D. Nutting of Emporia, Kansas; Willis W. Nutting and Jennie H. Nutting.

Also survived by a brother: Dr. Rufus Nutting, Professor of Languages at Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL; and two sisters:
Mrs. (Dr.) Glover; and Mrs. Mattie F. Wood of Indianapolis, IN.
