My grandfather left us on June 4, 1983. His heart couldn't go on anymore with out his loving wife, Ozelle, who, tragically, left us a year before in an auto accident. When I was a few years old, I somehow nicknamed him 'Suess' even though it has nothing to do with Dr. Suess, his stories or books. He was a WWII veteran Tech Sergeant and Medic, serving in the Phillipines. Their first 2 children were boys, one passing in 1941 being stillborn and the other son passing in 1942, living only 2 weeks. He began his own business-E.A. Scott Construction, building homes in Cedar Hill, Texas for over 40 years. His hobbies were fishing, playing cards and listening to Rangers baseball on the radio and watching the Dallas Cowboys on TV at the same time. His carpentry shop was my favorite place to hang out. He is now survived by 1 daughter-Anna Holloway (little girl pictured here, my mother) of Fort Worth, Texas and 2 grandchildren-John (Chris) Holloway (me) and Deneen Holloway, my sister, of Fort Worth, Texas.
