Mrs. Bennett was one of Itawamba's lovable women, where she was reared, for she was loved and admired by all who knew her, a true and kind wife, a devoted daughter, an amiable and sweet tempered sister, a liberal and accommodating neighbor.
Mrs. Bennett was the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas E. Copeland, who died about 20 years ago, and is survived by her husband, Robert Bruce Bennett; her mother, Mrs. Alice Copeland; one sister Gertrude Clements; and three brothers, Drs. Oscar, James and Alcanda Copeland.
Funeral service were held at Salem church in Itawamba County Mississippi, about 10 miles east of Red Bay, at noon, Tuesday, July 3, Rev. A.H. Cole and Frank Baker officiating.
A large crowd was in attendance attesting their sympathy.
