Joseph Freshour, age 63, passed away early Monday, March 23, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 30, 1951 in Greeneville, TN. Preceded in death by his beloved mother, Bessie Freshour and daughter, Jennifer Freshour. Joseph is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Diana Freshour; son, Christopher & wife Stacy Freshour, Rachel & husband Andrew Punak, Andrew (Stephanie) Mathias, Serena (Justin) Carrillo and Patricia (Jeff) Ferrell; grandchildren, Jayden, Nicholas, Brianna, Hunter, Teddy, Gavin, Taylor and Colton; parents, Harvey (Muriel) Freshour and Bertie Mitchell; several siblings and other loving family members. Joseph had an eye for antiques and was a collector. He loved gardening and listening to the blues. Joseph retired with 31 years of service at L.T.V. Steel in East Chicago, IN. Visitation will be Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 9 to 11 a.m. with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Erve Bradley officiating in the Main Chapel at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 (219) 980-5555. Burial will be at the Ross Cemetery in Calumet Township. Joseph will be deeply missed by his loving family and precious friends. God Grant Him Eternal Peace.
