Kathleen Neves Bobbitt, age 97, a resident of Austin since 1952, passed away on March 27, 2015.

Kathleen was born on September 10, 1917 in Ratcliff, Texas. Her family moved to Conroe, Texas and she graduated from Conroe High School.

On April 25, 1942, Kathleen married Colon Bobbitt and they were married for 65 years until Colon's death in 2007.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Inscore of Georgetown; son, Jerry Bobbitt of Austin; grandson, Gordon Inscore and wife Joanne of Dripping Springs; granddaughter, Melinda Inscore and husband Ben of Georgetown; seven great grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was a longtime member of University United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and a member of several bridge clubs. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, Kathleen will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

The family would like to express its deep appreciation to the staff of Westminster Health Center for the dedicated care they provided Kathleen during the past four years.

The family will receive friends at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd. A Graveside service will follow at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Drive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the University United Methodist Church.
