KNAPP, Alice Margaret

Went home into the arms of God, May 20, 2006, in Sun City, Calif. Born March 22, 1921, in Mode, Illinois, Alice lived in Palmdale for 42 years; most recently in Sun City for 7 years. Alice was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, University of Denver and Cal State Northridge. She held a BA in Religious Education and a MA in elementary education. Quite an amazing thing since Alice had not graduated from high school! Mrs. Knapp taught at Tumbleweed Elementary For 18 years. She "retired" and was instrumental in the start of Westside Christian school where she was principal for 13 years. She was a member of Desert Highlands Baptist Church from 1957 to 1989. Most recently attended Temple Baptist In Perris. Alice was a loving wife to Russell (deceased) and formerly Jack Fall (deceased). Russ had 3 children when they wed, later joined by 3 more. Alice is survived by Vivian Sharp, Virginia Schutz and Becky Chemotti (daughters), John, Paul and Tim Knapp (sons). She's also survived by sisters Edith, Elsie and Gladys and her brother Dale. Alice will be greatly missed but her love for God and family lives on in her legacy. She had over 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., at Desert Lawn Memorial Park and Praise service to follow at 4 p.m., at Desert Highlands Baptist Church (947-4452) both on Wednesday, May 31, 2006.
