Louise was born in Corsicana, Texas, to the late George Beverley and Bettie Walker. She worked as a licensed vocational nurse at Navarro Hospital. She later managed the gift department at Dyer's department store.
A member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Louise also served as a Board member and volunteer at the Navarro County Food Pantry. In addition, she was a past Noble Grand of the International Association of Rebekah Assembly, Lodge 128, of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. She enjoyed the work and fellowship and she was very involved in national meetings representing the lodge. Rebekah Assembly is an international service organization in which male and female members pledge, among other things, to "do good unto all." Louise enjoyed entertaining and had a zest for life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. McCammon, who died in 1988; brother, Clarence Walker; and sister, Marie Towns.
Survivors include her brother, George B. Walker, Jr.; sister-in-law, Janet Patchen Walker; and niece, Leila Marie Rasmussen and her husband, Fred; other relatives and many friends.
