Kevin Ray Dean was born June 11, 1959 to Troy L. and Ruth K. Dean, both deceased. He was raised in Medford, Oregon. He was legally adopted by his sister and his name was changed to Garcia when he was younger so she and her military husband could take him overseas.
He graduated from Cristobal High School, Panama Canal Zone in 1977. Shortly after returning to the states he joined the Army. When he got out of the Army in 1983, he came to live in San Antonio, Texas with his sister and her new husband.
He went through relationships but had a hard time. He was a survivor and carried on. He got married, moved to Bryan/College Station, TX but later was divorced. Kevin and George became bachelors together. His #1 concern was George. George was his cat. George joined Kevin in 2017.
Kevin loved attending live high school/college sports in Bryan-College Station. He was also a member of a bowling league on Friday nights at Grand Station Entertainment for over 10 years. He was member of WheresGeorge.com (paper currency is stamped, released, and tracked) since 2002. This organization has gatherings and cruises that Kevin enjoyed attending. He liked to get out and do geocaching when the weather was nice. Pizza and a cold Blue Moon while watching football or NASCAR entertained him on Sundays.
Kevin is survived by his sister Denise Dean Etherton (Bill), San Antonio, TX and an older brother, Michael Dean (Penny) who lives in Jacksonville, OR. His paternal relatives are scattered all over Texas. He was a loyal Green Bay Packer fan (compliments of his maternal relatives).

Kevin was assaulted, knocked unconscious, and kidnapped in College Station, TX on St. Patricks Day, March 17, 2015 while at work. Assailant stole Kevin's vehicle.
He was found unconscious, with the assailant, in Ft Worth, TX 11 hours later in the bed of his own truck and was taken to JPS Hospital. He was taken off life support after 3 days and both of his kidneys were donated and his tissue was used for grafting.
Kevin had a heart of gold and was ready any time to give a hug, a smile or the shirt off his back if you needed it. No questions asked.
No one needs to die the way he did. No one.
