Evelyn married Robert M. Hanafan on November 25, 1943, in Salinas, Calif. They later moved to Council Bluffs, IA where they were blessed with four children.
Evelyn was a clerk at International Harvester, Co. during the Second World War. She later worked as a clerk at Kilpatrick's and Younker's department stores. Evelyn was a long-time member of The Miniatures Club in Council Bluffs.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hanafan in 2004; son-in-law, Ken Malick; sisters, Marie and Ida; and brother, Ralph.
Evelyn was survived by her 4 children and their spouses, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
