Mrs. Brooks died at Bamberg County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her spouses, William F. Stanton and Joseph Brooks; one daughter, Julia Stanton; three brothers, Barron, Mark Sease, and Faye Beard; and four sisters, Julia Wienges, Gladys Holt, Katie Wienges, and Mary Webster. She was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed nature walks and reading.
Survivors include three sons, Mark Stanton of Avendale, AZ, Peter Stanton of Cave Creek, OR, and Thomas Brooks of Bamberg; and two daughters, Mary Candice Chapman of Ashland, OR and Robin Elizabeth Huntley of Garden Grove, CA.
