David A. Knaup, 57, of Stockett, passed away from a long, hard battle with cancer on March 11, 2015.

David was born February 23, 1958 in Great Falls, MT and raised on a farm in Stockett. He went to Centerville and graduated in 1976. He helped ranchers and worked for Bison Ford for a year. He then went to work out at Mount Olivet Cemetery for 24 hard years before retiring, so that he could help his mother for the last year.

He was married for 25 years to his wife, Kristine Kay (Brokl) Knaup. They had two children, Walter and Susan Knaup and six grandchildren.

David was one of a kind, loved his beer, friends, family and co-workers. Helping out whoever he could, he volunteered with the Sand Coulee Fire Department for many years. He was loved by all and known by many.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel with a burial of ashes at Cottonwood Coulee Cemetery.
