Robert "Dale" Allison, age 78, died at his home in Rolla, MO on March 11, 2015. Dale is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Summers Allison, of Rolla, his children Clay Neil and wife Kristin Havens Allison and Michael Dale and wife Kimberly Daniels Allison, both of Rolla; grandchildren CJ and Tyler Hobbs, Katelyn, Ashley, Mikah, Abbigail, Molly and Caleb Allison; brothers and sisters, Ray and Margaret Allison of Rolla, Georgia and late Junior Watson of Rolla, Roy and Mary Allison of Phoenix, AZ, Judy Huff of Stafford, TX, Kenny and Willene Allison of Rolla, and Helen Vaughn of Rolla; sister-in-laws Deloris Summers and Rosella Parker; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Ellsworth and Emma Pearl Brown and twin brother Donnie Allison.
Dale was born May 4, 1936 in Phelps County. He graduated from Rolla High School in 1954. He served in the Navy for 4 years during the Korean War on the USS Sumner as a fire control. He married Betty Lou Summers on April 21, 1962. He worked at MS&T for 23 years in the power plant and chemical engineering department before he retired. He was a member of the Rolla and Newburg Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Southern Cherokee Tribe of Newburg, MO. Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling to Arizona during the winter. He was the "biggest" fan of his kids and grand-kids in the many activities they participated in.
Funeral is under the direction of James and Gahr and will be graveside at the Rhea Cemetery, Rolla, MO on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10AM.
