This is my grandfather, Marion Loyd Holloway, 86, of Sharpsburg, Georgia who died Wednesday, May 14, 2009 at his home, losing his battle to dementia. He was born March 3, 1922 in Wedowee, AL to the late John & Myrtle Clack Holloway. He retired from Dixie Construction Company as a stone mason. Mr. Holloway served in the Army Air Force during World War II. His lifelong passion for horses led him to become a breeder of Quarter Horses and Palominos. A private family service is planned in Valley, AL. Worth, TX daughters, Karen Gayle Rohrbaugh of Frederick, MD, Kathy Mapp of Sharpsburg; sisters, Ethel Raye of Lanette, AL, Christine Holiday of Valley, AL; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
