Minnie Isabell Anderson was born in Grand Forks County, North Dakota, June 3, 1898, the daughter of Roland and Lizzie Middleton. She attended school and grew to womanhood in this community.
On January 12, 1921 she was united in marriage to Clifford Anderson at Manville, North Dakota. The following year, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson came to LaGrande Township where they purchased their present farm and which has been her home until June 1974 when she entered the Knute Nelson Memorial Home in Alexandria, Minnesota. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Alexandria.
She passed away at the Knute Nelson Memorial Home, December 6, 1974 at the age of 76 years. She is survived by her husband, Clifford; four sons and two daughters: Alden of Alexandria; Russell of Garfield; Delores (Mrs. Norman Kvilhaug) of Garfield; Clinton of Garfield; LaVonne (Mrs. Clifford Peterson) of Alexandria; Robert of Garfield; also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three sisters and one brother: Alma (Mrs. Guy Hustad) of Fargo, North Dakota; Edna (Mrs. Albert Nelson) of Grand Forks, North Dakota; Gladys (Mrs. Otto Nelson) of Oslo, Minnesota; Lester Basgaard of East Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Funeral services were Dec. 9, 1974, First Lutheran Church, Alexandria, Minnesota. Rev. Philip Westby officiating. Interment at Kinkead Cemetery, Alexandria, Minnesota. Pallbearers were Ralph Holverson, Floyd Johnson, Vernon Norling, Cameran Nelson, Calvin Nelson, Bud Hustad.
