Tommie Jo Francis Beckerdite, 81, passed away on January 13, 2015 at Garrison Nursing Home. She was born January 18, 1933, in Bates, Arkansas, to parents William and Bessie Francis.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Mojave Cemetery in Mojave, California.

Tommie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Beckerdite; and a sister, Billie Margaret.

She is survived by her three children, Rose McKneely and husband Leonard of Nacogdoches, Connie Ferre and husband Mark of Salt Lake, Utah, and Kord Beckerdite and wife Barbara of Nacogdoches; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Bellah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tommie Jo was known as a sweet, kind, loving woman with open arms and open heart. After her children were raised she went back to school to earn her GED and then went to college to earn her Bachelor's Degree. She worked the longest for Human Resources Ultra Dent Company in Salt Lake, Utah.

In her free time, she enjoyed painting with oils, crocheting afghans, hats, scarfs and socks and drinking Diet Pepsi. Her family will miss her and remember her sense of humor.

Arrangements are under the care of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.
