Bill was born April 5, 1934 in Covington, OH to the late Clarence & Gladys (Hacker) Frey; a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1953; a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict, achieving the rank of Command Sergeant Major; worked in Agribusiness in Versailles; a member of the VFW #6557, Pleasant Hill; Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #3998, Covington; & AMVETS Post #66, Covington; a member of the Covington High School Hall of Fame; loved woodworking; was a sports fanatic; & a huge fan of the Covington Buccaneers.
Preceded in death by his parents; & 5 siblings. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Louise (Fair) Frey; 3 children, Kelly (Mike) Watercutter of Troy, Sherri Colby (Jim Higgins) of Troy, & Bill (Cami) Frey of Houston; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Patricia) McMaken of Covington; sister, Dixie Harnish of Covington; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington with Pastor Jerry Collins officiating.
Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Covington High School Dollars for Scholars.
