On November 19, 1951, she was united in marriage to the late James H Harrison.
Barbara was the past President of the Aurora Chapter of Tri Kappa. She was also the First Councilwoman of Aurora Indiana. Barbara was an avid reader, former librarian in various school districts, loved to play Bridge with her friends from Aurora and Lawrenceburg.
She is survived by her 4 daughters, Kathy Neary of Greendale, IN, Nancy Harrison of Greenville, SC, Tracy Harrison-Doubleday (Erv) of Lisbon, CT, Bobbi Blair (Barry) of Hampton, CT; brother, Steven Karsteter (Sue) of Lawrenceburg, IN; sister, Patricia Kinzer (Rod)of the Villages, FL; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A Creighton and Mary Elizabeth Karsteter; and her husband, James H Harrison.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Greendale, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11am.
Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
