Darren "Weasel" Tunmire, 55, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at a local hospital. Visitation will be Saturday, June 13, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with services following at 11:15 a.m.
Darren was born March 31, 1960, to Earl and Wanda Tunmire. He attended school at University High in Waco, Texas. Darren worked at Van Tran until the 1990's. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend. Darren enjoyed riding bulls and dirt bikes, loved collecting baseball cards and memorabilia, and fishing with his grandmother.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sgt. Earl Lee Tunmire, Sr., brother, Barry Ray Tunmire, Maternal Grandparents Hubert Lee and Mildred Vaneta Smith & Paternal Grandparents William David and Nannie Lee Tunmire.
Darren is survived by his mother, Wanda Tunmire; brothers, Earl Lee Tunmire, Jr. and wife, Pat, of Rockwall, and Larry Ray Tunmire and wife, Suzanne, of Hewitt; five nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great nieces.
