Arthur Edey, 57, was a resident of Antelope Valley for two years. Services will be held today, Thursday, Feb. 19, at Chapel f the Valley Mortuary in Palmdale at 2 p.m. Chaplain Charles Pickens and members of Palmdale Masonic Lodge 769, F. and AM, will officiate and interment will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Palmdale. Chapel of the Valley Mortuary is I charge of arrangements.
A veteran of WWII attaining the rank of Private First Class in the U.S. Army, Edey married Lucy Robinson Edey Oct. 26, 1974 in Nevada and served as a truck driver for 20 years with IML Freight Lines.
He was born Jan 20, 1924 in Huntington Park CA and died Feb. 14, in Sepulveda. Edey was a member of the East Whittier Masonic Lodge 776, F and AM, and a 32nd Degree Mason; a member of the A and A Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Long Beach; a member of Al Malaikah Temple, AAONMS, of Los Angeles; a member of the Antelope Valley Shrine Club; a member of Palmdale Shrine 118, WSJ; and a member of the Antelope Valley Chapter f Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife Lucy of Palmdale; three sons Calvin and Cameron Edey of Anaheim and Clifford Edey of Yorba Linda; a daughter, Caroline Davis of El Toro; two brothers, Hubert Edey of Palos Verdes and Charles Edey of La Palma; two sisters, Florence Ulrich and Mary Fiero, both of Long Beach; and two grandchildren.
