He and his wife are buried Lincoln Cem., Lincoln, MA. He was in service in NY 1776-77. He was a "private in Capt. John Hartwell's Co., Col. Eleazer Brook's Regiment; served 5 days, company called out and marched from Lincoln, Mar. 4, 1776, to fortify Dorchester Heights;" company receipt dated Lincoln, Sep. 21, 1776, for wages for service at the taking of Dorchester Heights" (Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors). He lived on the farm inherited from his father which was located in the part of Concord set off as Lincoln, MA. and Inc. in 1754. - Flint Family History, p. 342
